11 Things You Should Do For Your Online Shop


The start must be perfect to reach the target. Starting an online business is not a child play. It’s a crucial job for a new business person. You have to be careful with everything from the look and feel of your website through the quality of the products you would be selling. In recent times, shoppers prefer to buy the things online, you can convert a visitor to a customer doing these things. Though, I am not a business adviser, being an online seller, I can share my learning with you.

1.    Visit the other shops

The first thing you should do is to visit through the other online shops. You will get the insight of their functioning and their designing. You will get the ideas for your shop from doing this activity. You would get the insight about the product pricing, discount strategy, shops’ designs, categories of products, what do they lack and what do they have extra, and such details.

2.    Design an appealing look for your store

The design of your store matters a lot to attract the visitors. Get the attractive theme for your shop. Do the designing of your store yourself, you would need a software for this, so use the TemplateToaster. I am sure, you must have enough knowledge to use a CMS like WordPress. WordPress is a very easy platform to be used by anyone. The Woo Commerce plug-in would also be required by you.

3.    Make your shop ready for the tablets and mobiles

It’s very important to make your website ready for the portable gadgets, because in recent times, customers more use the smartphone and tablets for accessing the web. People prefer to browse the internet through their tablets and mobiles. Hence, make the responsive theme for your website. Don’t worry, you wouldn’t have to do anything extra for this, the software I have suggested you earlier is the responsive one. Thus, it would get you “every-device” ready design.
 
4.    Deliver the best quality

Now, I would come to the quality of products. Never compromise on quality for the extra benefit, because, doing so would ultimately draw your business to the zero level. If you offer the best quality product, you wouldn’t have to do sheer marketing of you. As the customers would do mouth publicity of the fine quality of your products.
 
5.    Join your friends with your business

Every business takes off from the owners’ friends & relatives. They become your first customers and help you to spread the information about your business to the other people. You should not left anyone from joining with your shop, if you have left anyone, do send your invitation to connect with your shop along with a product as a gift.

6.    Give the people discount on your products initially

Owing to the fierce online competition, you can’t keep off the discounts for your products. The consumers go different shops, compare the prices, and then make the final purchase from where they get a product at a lesser price. Therefore, giving products on discount becomes important.

7.    Offer them customized products

The concept of selling customized products works greatly. If you get the customers customized products, they would definitely love to buy things from you. Even, they would happily get paid, if you deliver them their personalized items.

8.    Offer Free Home Delivery

People make online purchasing because they get products delivered to their homes. They pay extra charges for this also. If possible, then you may offer your customers free delivery to home. It would be best if you could bind the fast delivery time with your products. I know that on every purchase, offering free home delivery may not be possible, so you can put the service for a limited area.

9.    Ask Feedback from your customers

Give your customers a feeling of being important to you by asking their feedback and considering their suggestions. Get a feedback message from them. The best way to get the feedback is having a business page on social platforms. Having the presence on social platforms has advantages from all sides, including marketing, showcasing the new products, offers and events.

10.    Keep a “special day” of the shop

You may keep a special day or special date on which you may organize a recreational event for the people. For instance, 10th day of the month discount sale, third Saturday sale, or such special day sales may be kept by you for publicizing your shop.

11.     Put a “blog” on your website

Put a blog section on your website. You should put the informational blogs pertaining to your business. For example, if you sale the bakery products, you may put the blogs regarding the right eating habits, or nutritious bakery products, energy giving foods, etc. Or, if you own a fashion store, then you may put the blogs regarding the trendy accessories, or tips for looking stylish, etc. In short words, put the blogs that belong to the niche of your shop.
